CECONOMY honored in six categories in the European Extel ranking: MediaMarktSaturn parent company honored as best non-food retailer and CEO Karsten Wildberger as “Best CEO” Retail sector

The CEO of CECONOMY AG, Dr. Karsten Wildberger, was honored as "Best CEO" in the European retail sector in the 2024 edition of the annual survey by Extel (formerly Institutional Investor), the trade magazine and independent research company in the field of international finance. In addition, Dr. Kai-Ulrich Deissner, CFO of CECONOMY AG, was named "Best CFO" in the general retail sector.
These awards demonstrate the company's positive development and reflect its success in several key categories based on extensive feedback from both financial analysts and institutional investors. CECONOMY also took first place in the categories "Best IR Team", "Best IR Expert" with Vice President Investor Relations Fabienne Caron, "Best IR Program" and "Best Investor/Analyst Day".

The Extel ranking draws on the assessments of around 1,800 experts, institutional investors and financial analysts. The CEOs were assessed based on the criteria of credibility, leadership and communication, while the CFOs were assessed based on the criteria of capital allocation, financial management and communication. In addition, the quality of the board and ESG metrics were assessed.
A number of factors were examined to assess investor relations activities, including roadshows, the quality of financial information, business and market knowledge and the company's responsiveness and reputation.
